ANAQ Foundation is continuing its campaign tour into SHS and this time their bus has landed at Ejisuman SHS in the Ashanti Region (KSI) where sickle cell education and screening to help educate over 3,000 students on the importance of knowing their sickle cell status and breast care to combat breast cancer has been done.
In attendance was the CEO of Breast Care International, Dr Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addei who urged women to take breast care very serious and should report to the hospital for proper attention if, they found any pain or change in their breast to prevent breast cancer and other breast related illness..
The CEO of ANAQ FOUNDATION Mrs. Ama Nyarko Attafuah and a sickle cell advocate also educated the students on the sickle cell disease and the need for each individual to know their status. She also expressed her joy about the screening program and also advised women in general to take proper care of their breast as it is the most important part of women when it comes to feeding new born babies.
There was blood donation and other activities to make the program a success.
